Just two days until the start of Gameweek 15 and we look forward to what potential changes or in form players would could introduce to give our squads a bump. For me, this was to be the week I dropped Jamie Vardy and Pascal Groß in favor of Oumar Niasse and Leroy Sané. However, Vardy scored last week against Spurs, while Niasse was still serving his suspension, Wayne Rooeny hit for a hat rick and Sané came up ill, which calls into question his availability for Gameweek 15.
Based solely on budget, Raheem Sterling (£8.2) should get the nod over Sané (£9.0), as just 6 points (87 vs 81) separate the two City midfielder. By moving on Sterling, it would allow me to retain Sead Kolasinac, who I had planned on transferring due to budget constraints. By all appearances, I have gained enough of a price increase that I can retain three heavy hitters on defense; Alonso, Kolasinac and Walker.
From my point of view, either City attacker will provide better long term solution, than taking a 4-game period of Leicester, who have been spotty offensively this season. West Ham has been awful this season, which has me leaning towards taking the -4 hit in order to reinforce the midfield with a Man City asset.
This move would leave me one final piece to my 5-man midfield, at the cost of a premium defender and Groß. Initially I was going to bring in Paul Pogba, but that transfer may be put on hold with the news of
Nemanja Matic picking up a knock. I feel his exclusion from the starting XI could mean Pogba plays a bit deeper, like we saw last year. I am watching Glyfi Sigurdsson, who’s return 8,7 and 5 in the last 3 gameweeks. Everton has HUD/liv/new/SWA in the next 4 fixtures.
